Gaussian Splats

Testbed for rendering captured splats

Gaussian splatting is a real-time rendering method that represents scenes as millions of tiny semi-transparent ellipsoids (splats), each with position, color, and opacity. Unlike meshes or voxels, splats can capture the fuzziness of real-world surfaces — hair, foliage, reflections — in ways that feel genuinely photographic.
