an altar to media-sama was installed at Kyoto Seika University, where I was on exchange — once for my class's end-of-year exhibition, and again in a group show the exchange students put together at a space we rented out. It was about the shrines we build around screens and offer ourselves up, without deciding to.
It was my first attempt at an installation, and observing how people would react to interactive media, and whether I could pre-choreograph how they would behave around it.
Made under the guidance of yang02, telephonovision and Takuma Nakata. I'd planned on using Processing, but ended up in vvvv after Nakata-san introduced me to it.
